SURFING PROGRAM - Students All years - if you have been involved in the surf program this year you are invited to attend a camp on the next school holidays from the 30th September to 1st October. The cost has been finalised at $300. If you wish to attend you have till this Thursday 3rd September (week 7) to get your note back to Mr Godfrey and pay a $50 deposit. After this time I will be inviting students who didn't get a chance to join the surf program this year to make up numbers. It will be a case of first in first served with the 16 spots available. Behaviour will still need to of a high standard in the weeks leading up to the camp. There are some fund raising opportunities to reduce the cost of the camp also. LOT 208 YOUTH CENTRE UNDER AGE RAGE – An under age rave is being held at the Lot 208 Youth Centre on Friday 28th August from 7pm until 10pm at Mulgara Youth Centre in Australind. Cost is $5 and features a DJ, pool table and other amusements. A bus is available from Yarloop, Harvey and Brunswick. Poster on pin up board at Student Services.

**ENERGY – INTEGRATED SCIENCE CLASS In our year 11 “Integrated Science” class, we have been studying energy and how much our school consumes. Our school is involved in a state wide competition that consists of finding the most energy efficient school. So, get behind our school and help make our class make our school proud. This involves small tasks such as turn off lights, wear jumpers instead of using heaters, leave windows closed while heater is on, turn lights and heaters off when leaving the class room. *TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY – COMMUNITY SERVICE – Year 10’s are invited to come along to the rescheduled tree planting session on Thursday 6th August from 11:30am to 3:15pm. First preference will be given to those students who returned permission letters last term but there will be some places for new applicants. All interested students need to collect a permission letter from Mrs Carey in the M7 office and return it no later than Monday 3rd August.
